The You Beyond Your Anxiety

If you keep seeing the world in exactly the same way, little is likely to shift.

It’s tricky to reconnect to yourself when you take life at face value and frequently suffer from anxiety. 

Even if you take time and space out, as we spoke about last week. 

If you keep seeing the world in exactly the same way, little is likely to shift.

Exploration is at the heart of all great discoveries and understanding.

 

It’s so much more fun to travel than to spend hours anxiously analysing yourself between four walls.

So: Let’s travel around a few illusions that trick us on a daily basis:

  • A sunset is actually earth in rotation.
  • Our seemingly solid bodies are 99.99% empty space.
  • We never touch anything or anyone. The feeling of touch is the electric impulse from electrons from both “objects” (yes, we are objects too) repelling each other.
  • Time is not fundamentally real. At the deepest foundations of nature, time is not a primitive, irreducible element or concept required to construct reality. 
  • Colours don’t exist. Our mind creates them.
 
You can then travel further and more clearly into how reality appears to you:
 
  • You cannot experience anything directly outside of your own mind, including what appears to be making you anxious.
  • The energy that creates moment-to-moment experience through your mind is POWERFUL and fluid.
  • “You” whatever that is, and more on that later on in this series, is much more than the current content of your mind (whether you’re currently telling yourself you’re a loser or a god…). 
 
Mind blowing? You see: No psychedelics needed to see beyond that “same old, same old” :D.
