Anxious? Anxiety is your mate

You will do anything to get rid of anxious experiences. They are what you most fear. Actually, I know this can sound irritating, but truly any anxiety you experience is your mate. Pointing you back to yourself.
Anxious

You hate to feel anxious.

Either when it looks like the anxiety is being produced by the future:

That scary event, conversation or result.

Or when it’s the type of anxiety associated with being “triggered” by something or someone specific.

(Perhaps the type that leads to panic attacks or a real struggle with physical symptoms while that situation or person is around).

You may seek for quick fixes: Pills, alcohol, psychedelics, getting it hypnotised out of you.

Or feel that you can’t live your life until you have come up with the magic solution in one of the many modalities you try:

CBT, EMDR, NLP, gestalt, meditation, bodywork, etc.

You will do anything to get rid of anxious experiences. They are what you most fear.

Actually, I know this can sound irritating, but truly any anxiety you experience is your mate.

Pointing you back to yourself.

Again and again and again.

Calling you back to your body and its capacity to heal itself over time when listened to.

Swinging you back to reality (the physical here and now).

Reminding you that you are not really afraid of what you think you are afraid of – you are afraid of your anxiety.

And it is nothing to fear. It’s a perfectly natural bodily reaction calling you back to the safety and freshness in the moment.

While your mind might tell you that you are experiencing the same thing over and over, there is ALWAYS something fresh in the moment.

Once you experience it and listen to it, you are no longer trapped in a mind-built cycle.

And it doesn’t matter if you have an especially low day and “slip back” because you haven’t really slipped back, you just think you have.

As Sydney Banks said: “You are only one thought away” from an entirely different experience of reality.

Of any reality.

Because thought isn’t just your cognitive processes, it is a powerful energy that creates you and all that you experience.

Some people call it consciousness. I sometimes call it conscious energy.

It doesn’t matter because words are simply concepts.

The next time you find yourself feeling spacious and creative, full of new ideas, THAT is what I’m talking about.

The energy of life that is in constant evolution and transformation.

So there is no way you could be “stuck” inside your anxiety. Nor do you need to “overcome it” to be living an incredible life.

Meanwhile, on the journey you will do whatever it makes sense in your consciousness to do:

Therapy, bodywork, Reconnect Weekends to reconnect to yourself, living an incredible life 🙂

Without feeling like you HAVE to do any one thing in order to be OK.
